What are the costs?

Before buying you need to understand the costs of ownership.

Park resorts are very clear on costs and make sure you understand them before you consider ownership.

Caravan

Purachse Price would have been aprox £20,000.

If you are buying on finance, park terms were available from 12 – 84 months’s at 9% apr. Payment would have been around £300 per month.

Pitch Fees

Pitch fees were £3281.00 per year due in December.

Pitch Fees includes the following;

• Annual rental of the pitch
• Use of all facilities on the park
• Landscaping, refuse disposal

Pitch Fees can be paid on a monthly basis by Direct Debit Scheme

Annual Costs

Before completing our trial buy all annual costs were clearly explained and were reasonable.

Rates: £317.50

Electricity & Gas: Depends on usage (especially early and late season).

Insurance: Our quote was £265 fully comprehensive

Rental income: It is important to remember that you can offset you running costs by subletting (read our dedicated section on this). Obviously income will depend on how often and what time of the year you sublett. Your park owner should be able to give you an estimation of potential rental income. If you sublet in key summer holiday weeks this income can be substantial.
