Cleaning

Depending on who was using the caravan we either asked the party to complete their own cleaning or used on park cleaning firm which cost around £25 per clean. Most owners have a deep clean completed at the end of the season.

We operated a no shoes policy in the caravan (leave them under the van!!!) as they tend to attract lots of grass and mud if you are not careful.

Maintenance

As owners we found that there was very little maintenance we needed to complete apart from cleaning.

We thought we may have to wash to exterior at some point throughout the season, however it stayed very clean. We notice vans located under trees in the rental area were more susceptible to moss and mould as well as blocked gutters.

With mains metered gas we did not have to change any bottles at any time.

To protect our caravan for the winter close season we had the park complete a full winterisation package which includes the ‘’drain down’’ of water system to avoid damage from frozen pipes. This is a stipulation of many insurance companies and cost £49.95.

We also asked the park to arrange our annual boiler service and health check completed by a gas safe engineer to comply with current legislation at a reasonable £69. As a result we received the appropriate Holiday Home Gas Safety Certification which is displayed in the boiler cupboard.
