Silecroft Country Park lies in a beautiful, little known corner of the Lake District National Park, a truly unique setting where the Lakeland mountains meet the sea.
The picturesque whitewashed village nestles in dramatically contrasting surroundings dominated to the East, by Black Combe mountain, and to the West, the sandy shores of Silecroft beach.
With onsite facilities such as a heated indoor swimming pool, a children's paddling pool, well equipped fitness suite and spa facilities Silecroft has so much to offer all the family. Adjacent to the park lies a 9 hole golf course that runs alongside Silecroft beach which has become very popular with a number of our home owners, some of whom say it's one of the most scenic courses they have played.
A predominantly rural county, Cumbria is home to the Lake District National Park, considered one of the most beautiful areas of the United Kingdom. The area has provided inspiration for generations of British and foreign artists, writers and musicians. Much of the county is mountainous, with the highest point of the county (and of England) being Scafell Pike.
Cumbria has a wealth of historic sites, including some of the earliest stone circles in Britain, the remains of the Roma Empire, abbeys and priories, churches dating from many centuries ago, through to more recent industrial history such as water mills and mines.
